Got Next – Privacy Policy

The short version

Got Next works without an account: everything you enter stays on your device. If you choose to sign in and join a group, we store the profile you create and your group's games on our server so your crew can share one roster. We never sell data, show ads or track you across other apps.

Without an account

• The player roster you create: names, a skill rating, height, age, optional weight and an optional profile photo. Kept only on the device running the app.
• Tonight's session: who checked in, when, the line, the games played, their winners, recorded points and optional shooting statistics.
• Your league rules and the organizer PIN. The PIN is stored scrambled (hashed), never as the digits you typed.
• Past nights, once you end a night and it is saved to History.

With an account (optional)

• Email address, used only to send you a sign-in code. No password is stored.
• Profile: the name you choose, an optional handle, height, optional weight and birth year, positions, and whether your profile is public. Public profiles show your name, height and the groups you play with; you can set your profile to private at any time.
• Group data: the rosters, check-ins, games, beer rounds and per-player totals of the groups you belong to, shared with the other members of that group.
• Location, only when you tap "I'm here" in a group that allows phone check-in: your position is sent once to confirm you are at the court and is not stored.
• Profile photos stay on your device and are not uploaded.

This data is stored with Supabase (hosting in the United States) and is used only to run the app. You can delete your account from the Account screen at any time; your profile and sign-in are removed for good, and your name stays on group rosters as a guest so past games keep their history. What the app does not do

• No analytics, no tracking, no advertising, no crash reporting services, no data sold or shared with third parties.
• No access to your contacts, microphone or location. If you choose a profile photo, the app reads only the image you select, crops it to a small avatar and stores it on this device.
• No network requests after the app is installed, other than the website loading its own files.

Backups you choose to make

The app can export all of its data as a file so you can keep a backup or move it to another device. That file is created on your device and goes only where you send it. It contains roster details, profile photos and recorded statistics, so treat it like any other file with your friends' names in it.

Deleting your data

Remove a player from the Roster screen to delete them. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. On the website, clearing the site's data in your browser does the same.

Children

The app is intended for adults organizing a pickup game. It does not knowingly collect data from children, and since nothing is sent to us, no data about anyone reaches us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
